Elizabeth M. Provencio is an Associate with Denton, Navarro, Rocha & Bernal, P.C. in San Antonio. Ms. Provencio's practice reflects more than nine years of multi-state litigation including a concentrated caseload in Texas state and federal courts since 1999. Currently, Ms. Provencio's litigation involves labor and employment issues including First Amendment, due process, FMLA, Title VII, ADEA, ADA and FLSA issues; and also involves tort and taking issues for municipalities and other governmental entities.  Her prior litigation experience involved complex insurance coverage, probate, investment products, and fiduciary duty issues.

Ms. Provencio also represents municipalities in collective bargaining and meet and confer negotiations with police and fire unions.  She served as one of the Lead Negotiators for the Cities of Waco, Abilene and Denton. 

Mr. Provencio actively participates in the community.  She is a member of the Texas City Attorneys Association where she has presented at its annual conference, the Mexican American Bar Association, and the Bexar County Women's Bar Association.  She serves on the Advisory Board for the Enterprise Foundation, which supports affordable housing development.

Ms. Provencio was born in Silver City, New Mexico and was admitted to practice law by the Maryland Bar in 1997, the District of Columbia Bar in 1999, and the Texas Bar in 2000.  She received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of California at Berkeley in 1993 and J.D. in 1997 from the University of Michigan, where she was a member of the Michigan Journal of Race & Law and served as an articles editor in 1996-1997.

She joined Denton, Navarro, Rocha & Bernal, P.C. in November 2003.  She was an Associate with Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer & Feld, L.L.P. from 1999 to 2003 and prior to that was an Associate with the Washington, D.C., firm of Dickstein, Shapiro, Morin & Oshinksky, L.L.P., from 1997 to 1999.
